Endemics and Specialities in Tanzania

Tanzania boasts a large number of unusual and endemic bird species, and a bird list which nearly exceeds that of neighboring Kenya and almost equals Uganda.

Endemic birds are those that have a restricted range in distribution, may usually be a native of a geographical region or country;  while those found in one, two or three countries can be regarded as specialties or near endemics.
